The NES has very different graphics and sound hardware compared to the Atari systems and the results were generally acknowledged to be pretty lackluster.Ĭurt Vendel of Legacy Engineering/Syzygy Company designed the original Flashback but did not have enough time to implement a more faithful solution. It supported 15 Atari 2600 and 5 Atari 7800 games, but recreated them using a NES-on-a-Chip.
